The original glass plate negatives along with surviving press prints from the Alfieri Picture Service , dating back 100 years , are held with all rights at the TopFoto archive in Kent, England.
Formed at the start of the 20th Century, by photographer Bernard Alfieri, the Alfieri Picture Service was a Fleet Street based photo press agency which had offices at 12-14 Red Lion Court (opposite Planet News at nearby Johnson’s Court, also held by TopFoto).
Over 25,000 original glass plate negatives from the Alfieri Press Service collection were digitised, by TopFoto, for the, part EU funded, EuropeanaPhotography project.
